The Calls ... Best Day Ever. || Philadelphia Documentary Family Photographer
Hi, I’m Rachel, a Philadelphia documentary family photographer. I have to include that terribly clunky line right away because #Google. Isn’t that the worst? Just ignore it and look at those SWEET BABY CHEEKS above.
Sessions with a view
Mountains, dogs, and kids. Oh my!
Lotsa giggles too.
Families can be
big or small, loud or quiet.
Or sometimes them all.
One thing is for sure
This one’s got passion and warmth
And a love so pure.
The Calls and I go way back. Like, Cassie-and-I-played-soccer-together-in-college way back. And then she moved to Colorado (yay!) and I had the unique privilege to photograph her maternity photos, then her first birth, and then Brecken as a wee babe, and then yet again for this shoot with her whole Colorado family (including the sweet-cheeked Lucas up above!).
I’m not sure what I did in life to have a family keep asking me back like this, but it’s my very favorite thing. Seeing babies grow and change and giving the family this time capsule of photos to pull from for years to come gives my work so much purpose and meaning. I love just the act of photographing, but the depth I reach with clients who keep coming back is precisely why I think I’ll do this forever. I feel like a family historian. It’s an honor and I don’t take it lightly.
