I blogged a bit last week about my time in Portland, visiting my college roomie Brindley and her girlfriend Lauren. One of the most fun parts of the trip was that at the last minute, our other roomie, Kacie decided to come. That's Kacie up here. (And down there.)
She is as fun and crazy as she looks. She's also the best soccer player I've ever played with. Some more facts: she has a Michigan accent, likes lululemon clothes, and I'm convinced she will never gain weight. Hate her.
Lauren and Brindley are the quintessential Portland-ers. Lauren works at a start-up company downtown in a fancy office building and Brin works as a farmer, well, out on a farm.
Kacie and I LOVED seeing their life there. They live in an adorable apartment and they can walk or bike all over the city.
We ate delicious food, drank delicious drinks, went on a hike, explored their neighborhood and LAUGHED for three days. It's been six years since the three of us have been together - there was plenty to catch up on.
Lauren and Brin were the perfect hosts. And Kacie was the perfect addition to this trip. They made it impossibly hard to leave and I can't wait to get back. Thank you, wonderful ladies, for one of the best weekends of 2014!
When Lauren and Brin took us on this hike, I literally screamed, "I'm in a WOOOOONDERLAAAND!!" the entire time. But seriously, how gorgeous is this?!
